Many camps and recreation programs put a great deal of emphasis on nature and outdoor education.

With good reason.

According to the National Wildlife Federation, outdoor education and play can improve vision, protect against future health issues such as heart disease, improve critical thinking, reduce stress levels, and protect emotional development – among other things.
