Boom. From the get-go, staff need to know what’s expected of them during staff training. Like anything, though, they need to know why that’s important. Enter this session.
This 60-minute session uses the learning cycle to get staff thinking about expectations. It begins with a hands-on activity and includes small group discussions, large group discussions, pairing and sharing, personal reflection, and lecture. This session includes a handout reminding staff they’re expected to TRL (think, respect, lead) during staff training. By the end of the session, staff will better understand why expectations are important, how expectations will impact them at camp this summer, how to set their own expectations and ask to know the expectations of others, how they’ll react if they don’t meet expectations, and more.
