Approaches Drama Classes in a Fun Way
I work with a recreation department that does after school programs, and this book is just what the department needed. I have no experience with leading drama classes, but after the contract drama instructor moved, the recreation department needed to find a way to continue the classes.
The one thing I would like to see more of is the theater games. The author has 15 games in the book, which I guess is enough, but I would like to see more. Other than that, the book has a lot of neat ideas and approaches drama classes in a fun way.
Instant Success….
I downloaded the electronic version of this book. I am a Drama Specialist for an Elementary School in a VERY large county in Metro Atlanta. I am creating a Drama Program from the ground up and this book was VERY helpful. We had over 50 students in grades 3-5 audition for the Drama Club. The Director of Fine Arts from our county attended our first Drama Club production and it was a HIT!. Thanks Curt for creating this fast and effecient quide to setting up a Quality Drama Program!

Perfect for a beginner’s class

I purchased the ebook version a while ago and our organization has been using the book for three seasons now. The parents are very complimentary and the program and the kids enjoy it a lot. In fact the drama class is the most popular after school class for the 3rd-5th grade students. The skits are great too. I like that they are in script form.

The book is for a beginner’s class. If you have advanced students this is not the book you want. If you are looking to start a beginner’s class then I highly recommend this one.

Very informative. Good condition. If you are looking to start a drama program you will want this book.
Great ideas for beginning clubs!
