Episode 3: Halloween Event Ideas

Halloween season is upon us and Curt and Patti share some of their ideas for ways to celebrate in your community.

They also discuss Curt’s favorite movie theater, and how old they were when they stopped trick or treating (although there’s some question as to whether Curt has ever stopped).

Halloween Program Ideas

From haunted houses to trunk or treat and a whole lot in between, Patti and Curt touch on some fun ways to celebrate Halloween with your community. They give some ideas for getting teenagers involved including an outdoor movie night watching Hocus Pocus or Halloweentown, and some tips on creating an inclusive program for people with disabilities.

The reminder Patti referenced was found on Pinterest – but there’s no link to the original poster, if you know who this image belongs to, please comment below so they can get credit for their great work.

Rapid Fire ‘Yay’ or ‘Nay’

Curt and Patti weigh in on some controversial Halloween rules and traditions, check em out and sound off if you agree or disagree in the comment section below.

Things we’re grateful for

Curt is grateful that community recreation exists, and Patti is grateful to have grown up in a place with live music.
(Correction: The friend she referenced was in the inaugural season of Canadian Idol, not Canada’s Got Talent)

Random questions of the week

Which movie character(s) would you want to be your parent(s)?
Patti’s just in it for the money, and Curt likes the idea of lots of chaos.

What’s your favorite scary movie?
It was hard to narrow it down, there were many movies mentioned. But there was a consensus on the scariest movie, and a favorite scary movie.
